Artificial Intelligence by MTL in Practical Healthcare

On April 13-16, MTL participated in the 6th Online Diagnostics Forum 3.0.

At the virtual exhibition held within the forum, MTL presented the first Russian digital breast tomosynthesis mammography unit allowing acquisition of high-quality X-ray images for accurate diagnosis and detection of early breast cancer.

The company's satellite symposium focused on the main stages of development and deployment of computer vision algorithms for breast cancer diagnosis, as well as on the issues of data collection and clinical evaluation of the results.

The Head of Engineering Center Eduard Turiev and the Head of Analytical Department Victor Kandoba presented the report devoted to the DIARM DM Mammography Workstation Software with TRIO plugin.

The DIARM DM with TRIO has successfully passed the approbation phase and was moved to the operational testing having more than 60 000 studies processed by now. AI-based algorithms implemented in this service helps preventing such diagnostic error as insufficient visualization of breast tissue caused by incorrect patient positioning.

Transparency of results and confidence of healthcare providers are the main development directions of this service.
