MTL Presents an AI Based Mammo Diagnostic System at the 2021 Congress of the Russian Society of Radiology

11 November 2021

On November 8-10, 2021, the Russian Society for Radiology held its annual congress, this time combining in-person and virtual environments. The interactive platform developed for the congress supported simultaneous event broadcasting in all 8 exhibition halls as well as an innovative virtual space with interactive exhibitors’ booths. With this technology, MTL’s virtual booth can be now visited from anywhere in the world, allowing a guest to download brochures, review presentation or watch a video in one click.

Mr. Eduard Turiev, R&D Project Manager at MTL, presented the company’s innovations in machine learning algorithms for digital mammography. At the Multimodal Approach to Breast Disease Detection panel, he gave an overview of MTL’s progress in the field of neural networks and presented the new DIARM DM Mammography Workstation Software with TrioDM plugin decision-making support system for breast radiology.

“Worldwide experience has proven screening mammography to be the most efficient way to detect breast cancer. The top standard in screening mammography is digital imaging, which has been playing its crucial role in reducing breast cancer mortality rates,” Mr. Turiev said. “This year, we have released DIARM DM with TrioDM, a new AI based software system which helps radiologists to make diagnostic decisions.”

DIARM DM with TrioDM has already taken MTL to the top of the list of leading AI developers during Moscow Pilot Program for AI in Radiology in September 2021. The product, designed in collaboration with leading Russian oncologists, radiologists and IT professionals, meets the most sophisticated demands of today’s healthcare.

Concluding his presentation, Mr. Turiev emphasized the growing role of information technologies in every aspect of contemporary medical practice.
