MTL Establishes Partnership with an Uzbekistan Technology Leader at the First Russia-Uzbekistan Forum of Interregional Cooperation
On October 17–20, 2018 the First Russia-Uzbekistan Forum of Interregional Cooperation was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The forum saw representatives of over 25 regions of the two countries, and more than 600 employees of various companies and organizations, including MTL, discuss the ways of technological and investment cooperation. The Presidents of both states, Vladimir Putin and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met at the Forum to explore new opportunities for political and economical partnership between Uzbekistan and Russian Federation.
At the forum, a number of partnership agreements were established between Russian and Uzbek leading manufacturers of electrical equipment. MTL and Uzeltexsanoat, a leading Tashkent-based technology group, have signed a memorandum of understanding on a project to start co-production of hi-tech digital X-ray medical equipment in Uzbekistan.
‘Together with our partners from Uzeltexsanoat, we are joining our efforts to introduce Russian healthcare technologies here in Uzbekistan and to launch joint manufacturing of innovative X-ray diagnostic equipment’, said Anatoly Dabagov, President of MTL.
